Book a Private Engagement with the Project Team

The NYC LGBT Historic Sites Projects accepts requests for private tours and presentations and can create custom talks based on your specific subject of interest. Let us know if your organization, corporation, employee resource group, or school is interested in retaining an expert from the team to give a walking tour, in-person talk, or virtual presentation on LGBT history. Throughout the year — and especially in June for New York City’s Pride Month — we offer a limited number of programs for a fee donated to the project. Availability is limited, so please reach out early to schedule your program.

Private Walking Tours

Our sought-after tours, developed and led by the project team, provide in-depth knowledge about the city’s LGBT history by seeing the sites where this history took place. Past tours include walks in Greenwich Village and on the Upper West Side. The tours emphasize both LGBT history and the cultural contributions of the community to New York City and American culture.

In-Person or Virtual Presenations

The team has a track-record of in-person and virtual presentations and talks that explore the history of LGBT life and activism. In the past, we’ve partnered with American Express, Barclays, and Consolidated Edison.

Collaborate on Social Media

The Project manages a vibrant and engaged community excited to learn more about and celebrate NYC’s site-based LGBT history. We regularly partner with individuals and both nonprofit and for-profit organizations on social collaborations (primarily on Instagram) such as takeovers, live tours, live interviews, and more. Past Instagram collaboration partners include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, La MaMa Experimental Theater Club, the Anti-Violence Project, the Los Angeles Conservancy, Henry Street Settlement, the Paul Rudolph Foundation, the Walt Whitman Initiative, and authors and scholars such as Eric Cervini and Hugh Ryan.
